Bank of Scotland (Ireland) has now been fully rebranded as Halifax after the physical changes to its 23 stores, all of which are now Halifax retail branches, were completed.

In addition, the rebranding, which was announced in August 2006, means that all Bank of Scotland (Ireland) product literature and communications with customers will also be Halifax-branded.

As well as the retail branch network, the Halifax brand in Ireland is also comprised of the suite of personal banking products launched earlier this year and the customer service center and online channels. Other businesses will remain under the Bank of Scotland (Ireland) brand.

Halifax is announcing the arrival of its brand to the Irish high street with an extensive advertising campaign.

Mark Duffy, chief executive of Bank of Scotland (Ireland), said: With today’s announcement we now have two of the strongest brands in European banking, Bank of Scotland for business and intermediary banking and Halifax for retail banking.
