Bank of China (Hong Kong) (BOCHK) and Shanghai-headquartered bankcard association China UnionPay (CUP) have launched a new BOC CUP Dual Currency Credit Card Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cross Border Autopay Service.

BOCHK said that the new dual currency credit will offer cross border payment service for customers who frequently travel between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The cardholders can avail the autopay service to pay bills of public utilities, TV, telecommunications and internet in Shenzhen.

Dickson So, general manager of Bank of China Credit Card (International), said: “Shenzhen-Hong Kong Cross Border Autopay Service is among one of our projects dedicated to enhancing Guangdong-Hong Kong co-operation.”

Larry Wang, vice president of international division and general manager of Hong Kong branch at China UnionPay, said: “As the economic interactions between Shenzhen and Hong Kong grow rapidly, a convenient bill payment service is highly needed.

“China UnionPay has officially launched the ‘China UnionPay Cross-Border (Shenzhen and Hong Kong) Payment Service’ on August 6, providing a brand new cross border payment platform for all the member institutions.”
