BNY Mellon Asset Servicing has named Peter Craft as the new head of its trustee and depositary business within the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) region.

Mr Craft was formerly head of trustee and depositary services at The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), responsible for RBS’ trustee/management company service to the UK, Luxembourg and Dublin. He had been with RBS since 1974.

Mr Craft’s appointment follows the recent hiring of Pat Hobbs, formerly head of UK sales at RBS Luxembourg, who joined BNY Mellon’s trustee and depositary business as head of sales and client management in June 2010.

Frank Froud, head of EMEA at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, said: “We are delighted that Peter has decided his future is with BNY Mellon. Peter’s career has been a long and distinguished one, and his name has become synonymous with the trustee and depository business.

“He is simply the best person to help us build our business and has an excellent platform on which to do so. Peter’s decision to join us serves to underline BNY Mellon’s long-term strategic commitment to the trustee and depository business.”
