BNY Mellon, a global provider of asset management and securities services, has appointed Juan Carlos Morales as president of BNY Mellon Mexico and general manager of the its corporate trust business in Mexico.

Mr Morales will oversee the strategic direction and expansion of the its local capabilities and presence across all business lines in Mexico with responsibility for local management of all shared services personnel who support BNY Mellon Mexico.

Mr Morales will also be responsible for the operations, client service delivery and general management of the company’s corporate trust business in Mexico.

Mr Morales, who has become a member of the company’s Latin America management committee, will report to Rene Boettcher, BNY Mellon’s chairman of Latin America and Sonia Chaliha, managing director of the Global Americas region for BNY Mellon Corporate Trust.

Mr Morales, who joined BNY Mellon in 2004, was most recently chief financial officer of BNY Mellon Wealth Management. He has over 20 years of experience in the oversight of all elements of financial management and control.
