BNY Mellon has appointed Christopher Ross as a senior portfolio manager to its Washington wealth management office.

In his role, Ross will lead client relationships and investment strategy for the DC office and will report to regional president Susan Traver.

Traver said, "With his deep industry experience and focus on clients, Chris will be instrumental in helping BNY Mellon Wealth Management maintain the robust client satisfaction and retention rates we’ve enjoyed for more than a decade."

Previously, Ross was with Wells Fargo Private Bank, where he was responsible for client investment management, planning and balance sheet management.

Prior to Wells Fargo, he served as the Washington branch office manager for Neuberger Berman.

BNY Mellon Wealth Management has $176bn in private client assets and an international network of offices.
