BNP Paribas has signed a new three-year support agreement for Clerity’s UniKix Mainframe rehosting software. Clerity is a US-based provider of mainframe migration, modernization and optimization solutions.

BNP Paribas has used UniKix for more than a decade to deploy its legacy banking applications on open systems. BNP Paribas leverages Clerity software to provide online core banking services at more than 65 subsidiaries worldwide, claims Clerity.

According to Clerity, the UniKix technology reduces IT complexity of banking firms by deploying a single, consolidated mainframe alternative software infrastructure at hundreds of branch locations; lowers total cost of ownership by streamlining support and reporting requirements; and provides enhanced quality of service, by operating a scalable, flexible platform designed to meet future business needs, integration requirements and workload growth projections.

Stephane Uhl, group manager at BNP Paribas, said: “Using Clerity’s UniKix Mainframe Rehosting software allows us to deploy our ATLAS II in-house integrated banking system on an affordable, reliable platform across the globe. We continue to be pleased by the ongoing evolution of UniKix technology and responsiveness of the Clerity support team.”
