BNP Paribas Appoints New Co-Head of FX Options New York, Head Of Latam, Complex FX Options

BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking has appointed Luiz Beltreschi as co-head of FX Options New York and head of Latin American and complex FX Options.

Mr Luiz will report to Marcel Neeleman, global head of FX emerging markets options, and locally to Francisco Oliveira, head of Americas FX trading.

At BNP Paribas, he will co-head the FX Options business with Ian West and work to enhance the bank’s overall FX Option franchise in the Americas, and is also responsible for developing the business in the EM markets and complex products.

Mr Luiz joins BNP Paribas from Deutsche Bank where he worked as head of Latam FX options for the past six years.

Mr Oliveira said: “Luiz’s appointment reinforces BNP Paribas’ commitment to attaining a top five position in foreign exchange. Currently we have over 35 FX Options traders and are focused on continuing to grow and expand on our capabilities in the Americas.”
