BMO Bank of Montreal has expanded its branch network by opening a new branch office in Toronto.

The new branch has 12 personal banking and investment professionals, including a Nesbitt Burns advisor, who look forward to bringing clarity to financial decisions for both new and existing BMO customers. The branch will be able to serve customers in seven languages including: English, Arabic, Armenian Farsi, Hindi, Korean and Russian.

Farzaneh Malakooti-Nezad, branch manager of the bank, said: “We are committed to providing every one of our customers with the best banking experience. Our customers can be sure they will be met by a knowledgeable professional who will sit down and help them understand our products and services, so they can confidently make the right decisions with their money.”

Robert Kavcic, economist at BMO Capital Markets, said: “Toronto home sales are at near-record levels and homebuyers are feeling more confident about the real estate market. With interest rates starting to rise, there is strong demand as people look to take advantage of current lower rates.”

Anne Kozak, personal banking area manager, said: “With rising interest rates on the minds of Canadians, BMO is encouraging Canadians to come in and get pre-approved for our lowest five-year fixed rate mortgage. Customers will have up to 90 days to search for the home of their dreams and take advantage of this great offer with no obligation.”
