Barclays Capital, the investment banking division of Barclays Bank, has appointed Mike Di Iorio as managing director and head of equities trading, Asia Pacific.

Di Iorio, based in Hong Kong, will be responsible for firm’s equities trading business across Asia Pacific, incorporating cash equities, convertibles, derivatives – including structured and flow products and warrants – index arbitrage and program trading.

Di Iorio will report to head of equities Asia Pacific Siggi Thorkelsson and Joseph Corcoran, head of global equities trading in New York.

He joins Barclays Capital from Nomura, where he recently served as co-head of equities Trading, Asia-Pacific. Prior to that, he was head of flow derivatives trading at Lehman Brothers in London and head of global exchange arbitrage, Europe at the Bank of America in Frankfurt and London.
