In a bid to bring collaboration and uniformity across its operations, Barclays Bank of Ghana (BBGL) has re-launched its online transaction platform Barclays Integrator.

Barclays Integrator, introduced some three years ago, provides secure online banking solutions through the internet for a selected group of customers of the bank. It allows customers to send and receive funds between their own accounts globally and undertake staff salary payments.

Shola Safo-Duodu, head of corporate affairs at Barclays Bank of Ghana, said: “The product is offered to corporate customers, proprietors, partnerships, as well as designated individuals and companies. The product has a 128 bit data encryption which provides additional security, establishes a secure online banking solution and prevents access by unauthorised parties.”

According to Benjamin Dabrah, MD of Barclays Bank of Ghana, Barclays Integrator is not necessitated by competition in the industry but towards its effective development. He said that the platform will have a positive impact and ease banking as customers have total control over their account and see any differences that affect their accounts.

Barclays has operated in Ghana since 1917, and now has 89 branches, 51 sales centres and 118 ATMs across the country, serving personal and commercial banking customers.
