BankSA, a division of Australia-based Westpac Banking, has appointed Jane Kittel as new managing director of BankSA, effective 1 October 2010.
Kittel will succeed Rob Chapman who will become the CEO of StGeorge Bank.
Kittel has been employed by the Westpac Group for 15 years and for the more than four years she served as general manager of Westpac’s Pacific banking operations consisting Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Tonga, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu and the Cook Islands.
She also held various positions across Westpac including head of Corporate Services and executive manager to the group executive of IT and Operations.
Chapman said that Jane has been an excellent performer in the tough job of running Westpac’s Pacific Banking operations and is also a born and bred South Australian who has a deep understanding of the local market and the power of the BankSA brand.
