BankDhofar has implemented core banking system software Finacle for customers to offer personalized customer service with new products and lower the cost of operations.

Oman-based BankDhofar said that the core banking deployment program began in December 2008. Since then, BankDhofar has completed phases I and II of the program, the launch of BankDhofar Online internet banking, and the launch of Finacle treasury during 2009. Phase III, the launch of Finacle core, Trade Finance and CRM was completed in early July, 2010 by implementing the new system across all the branches of the bank in the Sultanate.

The business and technology teams of BankDhofar converted the data from the old system to the new system ‘Finacle’ and connected all channels such as ATMs, cash deposit and bill payment machines, eBanking, SMS banking and phone banking to the new system.
