Bank of Scotland Corporate has announced that its West of Scotland operations are to move to 110 St Vincent Street. Work to refurbish and modernize the building's interior is underway, with the migration of Glasgow's Bank of Scotland Corporate workforce due to begin in the summer of 2008.

Bank of Scotland Corporate’s Glasgow operations – including the real estate and commercial business asset classes as well as several specialisms – will move from their existing offices in Bath Street, Queen Street, West George Street and 123 St Vincent Street. All Bank of Scotland Corporate colleagues will be based at 110 St Vincent Street, and Bank of Scotland will occupy the entirety of the building.

110 St. Vincent Street is the former headquarters of the Union Bank of Scotland. Bank of Scotland occupied the building until 2001.

Peter Cummings, CEO of Bank of Scotland Corporate, said: We’re very excited about moving back into 110 St. Vincent Street. Some time ago we decided to bring the Glasgow operation for corporate banking under one roof. We had several options, but 110 was the outstanding choice.

Bank of Scotland is proud of its heritage, and this building forms a significant part of it. It will now play a major role as the Bank continues to expand.
