Bank of America is cutting 1,900 jobs with the closure of three US call centers following its consolidation with the MBNA credit card business it bought last year.

According to media reports, the bank is closing a credit card call center in Delaware, one in Pennsylvania and a third in Colorado. The bank has previously said that the merger could result in up to 6,000 job losses.

Bank of America also intends to consolidate its operations in Maine, according to local press, putting buildings with approximately 130,000 square feet of space up for sale.
