Bank of America Merrill Lynch has appointed Mark Rosen as managing director and head of Latin America financial institutions group global corporate and investment banking.

Mr Rosen, who is based in New York, will report to William Egan, global head of financial institutions group corporate and investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Mr Rosen joined the firm from Credit Suisse where he served for 12 years, most recently leading Latin American and Caribbean financial institutions investment banking. Prior to that, he was head of mergers and acquisitions for Latin America at UBS and head of investment banking for Latin America at Barclays.

Mr Egan said: “Mark possesses extensive knowledge of the Latin American and Caribbean financial services landscape and has played an important role in some of the region’s most significant transactions. With 24 years of mergers and acquisitions and capital raising experience, Mark’s addition to our team comes at a pivotal time for this sector, and will be a vital resource to our team in meeting the evolving needs of our clients.”
