Bank of the West has opened a new, redesigned branch at in Walnut Creek, California at 1530 N. California Boulevard.

The branch, one of the first to open with new Bank of the West logo and signage after the bank's rebranding in March, will be replacing the previous Walnut Creek branch location, in place since 1970.

Located in the heart of the business district, this branch is designed with a state-of-the-art interior that includes digital displays, an ATM foyer and iPads, and will provide customers access to full service banking with its team of experienced local bankers.

"We believe that our new central location and the upgrade in branch design will provide our customers with a more optimal banking experience," said Maria Lazzarini, Division Executive Vice President for all of Northern California and the Northwest. Lazzarini, along with Regional Manager and Senior Vice President Marlene Stante, Walnut Creek Mayor Rich Carlston, Council Member Kevin Wik, and other distinguished guests attended the grand opening event on June 7. Mayor Carlston and Marlene Stante were speakers at the event, which culminated with a ribbon cutting.

The branch is managed by Steve Adatepe, who has been with Bank of the West for 16 years and led the branch at its former location. Adatepe, a Walnut Creek resident, has experience with all aspects of retail and small business banking and reports to Pamela Elkins, Vice President and Area Manager, Bank of the West.
