BancABC, an African banking group, has selected Tieto's Card Suite, a payment card solution for issuing, acquiring, switching, clearing, settlement and fraud management.
BancABC is in the process of expanding its services into retail banking. The bank operates in Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
According to Tieto, an IT service company, the payment card solution Card Suite will provide centralized, uniform management of card operations in all BancABC’s operating countries. The system will support a range of credit, debit and prepaid cards, enabling the bank to offer end customers various card products and tailored payment services.
Gavin Savala, regional manager for card issuing and acquiring at BancABC says: “We see big potential in the development of the payment card market in the Southern African region. The flexibility of Tieto’s card solution supports our goal of offering our customers a variety of card products and further developing the product line as the business grows.”
