Atos Origin has announced that its Atos Worldline subsidiary will be handling the introduction of movo, a French service developed by the Caisse d'Epargne for transferring money between individual consumers by SMS.

The movo service, which is offered exclusively to Caisse d’Epargne customers, allows users to make a payment by SMS to the person of their choice, 24/7.

In order to use service, consumers need to register online. Consumers with a Caisse d’Epargne current account and a bankers’ card wanting to make a payment then take out a subscription. The person receiving the funds simply needs to have a bank account at any bank.

Within the framework of introducing this service, Atos Worldline will be handling the processing of the incoming data flows via SMS+ and interactive voice response (IVR), managing the transfer process, and supervising the transfers with piloting tools.

At present the movo service uses SMS and an IVR as means of communication, but it will soon be extended to the WAP and iMode channels.
