Australia and New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) opened a dedicated regional business center in Bendigo, Victoria, to support regional and rural Australia.
ANZ said that the new center is the first of its kind and it will bring together commercial and agribusiness banking services, to provide customers with access to industry specialists and a range of products and services to meet their needs.
The bank said it supports more than 600 commercial and agribusiness customers in and around the Bendigo region. The new center will provide specialist service to current customers and help in attracting new ones.
ANZ regional commercial banking general manager Tania Motton said the regional center in Bendigo is just the first of several regional centers ANZ is planning to open across the country in 2011.
