Actant, a trading software firm, has selected NYSE Technologies SuperFeed solution to upgrade its market making software AQTOR and further enhance its performance and expand global coverage.

According to NYSE Technologies, the SuperFeed solution is an industrial-strength, high performance market data ticker plant and distribution system with microsecond latency. The SuperFeed fully hosted and managed service utilizes NYSE Technologies’ Feed Handler Suite and Data Fabric middleware across the global SFTI network.

Actant will use NYSE Technologies’ SuperFeed solution to gain immediate access to global markets, including NYSE Euronext’s diverse global exchanges, alongside data from markets in the US, Europe and Asia, through one single solution, across an ultra-low latency global network.

Furthermore, with NYSE Technologies’ Secure Financial Transactions Infrastructure (SFTI) network, Actant will reduce time-to-market, improve performance and increase market efficiency with the added benefit of lower operational expenses, claims NYSE Technologies.

Peter Grant, CEO of Actant, said: “Our selection of SuperFeed is a direct response to our market makers’ demands for the most innovative product that matches the performance, speed and scale that the industry has to offer. We are confident that NYSE Technologies’ powerful ultra low-latency SuperFeed engine will provide those optimal performance levels for them to perform efficiently and remain competitive in these markets.”

Mark Schaedel, senior vice president for global market data products at NYSE Technologies, said: “We are pleased that Actant has selected our SuperFeed solution as the data platform of choice. We believe their choice underscores the power and value of the service to markets and firms looking for a managed high performing electronic trading solution.”
