Netherlands-based ABN Amro Asset Management has appointed David Kiddie to succeed Kevin Smith's role as chief investment officer Equities to commence in early 2007.

David Kiddie brings with him 20 years of experience in the investment industry. Holding a variety of positions, Mr Kiddie has been with Baring Asset Management since 2003, most recently as head of Equities.

Prior to this, he was CIO of Retail Equities for Insight Investments as well as CIO / head of Global Equities for Rothschild Asset Management and spent six years with Hill Samuel as head of European Equities.

We are hugely grateful to Kevin (Smith) for his significant contribution during the past two years, Sarah Russell, CEO of ABN Amro Asset Management commented.
