Aberdeen Asset Management has appointed Pia Michelsson as new head of business development for Finland.

Ms Michelsson has more than 25 years of experience of working in asset management and especially with institutional clients in Finland. In the banking industry, she previously worked as a deputy CEO of Kaupthing Finnish Branch, after heading the asset management team.

Prior that she worked 15 years with Credit Agricole Indosuez as head of institutional business development in Finland.

With Pia’s background and extensive experience we strengthen our business development efforts across all our key asset classes – equities, fixed income and property in Finland.”

Presently, Aberdeen manages around EUR1.7bn on behalf of Finnish clients.
