International express and logistics provider DHL has been awarded a two-year contract by Standard Chartered Bank to undertake international door-to-door express services for the bank's offices globally.

The multi-million dollar contract ensures that DHL will remain as the exclusive provider of Standard Chartered’s express services needs, covering document and parcel deliveries from the bank’s worldwide offices to all destinations.

Standard Chartered’s requirements will be overseen by DHL’s Global Customer Solutions (GCS) division which was established in January 2004 to manage the company’s top global customers.

The GCS teams coordinate all of DHL’s express, air and ocean freight services as well as providing consultancy in solution development, implementation coordination, performance management and access to global industry expertise.

We are indeed delighted with this global contract from one of the world’s leading banking institutions, said Scott Price, CEO of DHL Express Asia Pacific. It represents a resounding vote of confidence from Standard Chartered in DHL’s extensive geographical network, logistics infrastructure as well as our industry-leading global customer solutions team.
